A Spoon Full of Sugar

Since I am in treating sickness mode . . . . .
These are some of my favorites for treating sick little ones.  What do you like to use?

Today the kids are all taking Elderberries, Viramune, Vitamin C, and Wild Cherry Coffaway. I love Trilight herbs.  I have the big kids taking the Echinacea  and vitamin C in pill form.  They are all drinking a ton - water, peppermint tea and sometimes water with a little lemon.  I am trying to keep them all resting.  What are some ways that you mamas out there keep your kids resting?

I made a veggie and noddle soup for our lunch today.  It had so much garlic it definitely cleared sinuses.  I am sorry to say not everyone was happy about eating/drinking it but we finished it all.  After Hadassah decided she was done being happy about eating it I filled a dropper with the broth and she drank that.

My favorite book for quick reference is Mommy Diagnostics by Shonda Parker.
Anyone else have a favorite book they take out when their kiddos are sick?

A snack later in the day:

It is a spinach, blueberries and banana shake.  I know that probably sounds terrible to some of you but you really can't taste the spinach.  Most of the kids love it.

Now today has been a good day of treating them the way I know I should.  Not all sick days are like that for me.  I am infamous for forgetting to give them their herbs regularly throughout the day.  Some days I cave in and give them something that has dairy in it even though I know it increases snot :(   Just keeping it honest.

God has been very merciful to us and we do not have to go to the doctors very often for sickness - now the E.R. for injuries, that is something else . . .  but that will have to be another post  ;).
                                                                             Blessings, Courtney
Praise God, Hadassah slept so well last night!

No, your shake doesn't "sound" good, but it will work wonders, and the kiddos look like they like it. Reminds me of ...... Vitametavegamen.
