Isabellaisms

Yesterday as I nursed a sick little baby in my room, I heard Isabella chatting away to her papa.

"Papa, you know what I have in my mouth."

Papa - "teeth"

Accompanied by a giggle - " no I have taste bugs, they taste my food and then tell my tongue what it tastes like"

I heard Stephen taking a breath to clarify a few things to her. I couldn't help but intervene.

Just so you know the Smith household now has taste bugs :)

Creepy Kitchen

The other morning I was walking into my kitchen when suddenly the drawers began to suddenly open and close all by themselves.  I stopped and stared for a minute.  The first seconds of which I thought I must be in the twilight zone; then the last seconds trying to figure out how one of my kids was doing it.  I did a head count and noticed all my big boys were busy in the kitchen doing chores.  When I pointed out the drawers to the boys they actually looked at it for the first couple minutes like what is wrong with that!  Anyway you will have to watch the video to find out the culprit :-D

Little Kitchen Helpers

Anytime I am cooking in the kitchen you can bet I will have helpers.  Many times 6 little helpers.
That is a lot of people working in the kitchen but I do love their helpful hearts.

One of their favorite dinners to help with is pizza - not so much because they love pizza but because they all get their own chunk of dough and get to have freedom with their creativity.  We have had elephant pizzas (Isabella's favorite), football shaped pizzas (Bailey's) and man-shaped pizzas including topping for faces and buttons (Kadin's)
Of course this does create a lot of messes but I also have a lot of clean up helpers ;)

What do your little ones like to make in the kitchen?  Any new ideas for me to try?

My Big Boy

I just had to show you how big my Gabric is :D
He is almost 6 months old!
How does that happen so quickly!  He is such a sweetheart.  He is just the easiest baby, always smiling and easygoing.
All of his siblings adore him and mommy and daddy do too ;)

Full Life

Well it seems like life is too busy to blog very much lately and I am grateful for that.
We are in school full swing, having the best year we have had so far.
We have moved and settled into our new home, which I love <3
The business is taking off and making it so Stephen doesn't have enough time for his other job, which is great!
We have had a home full of company, enjoying sweet fellowship.
And most of all our days are full of seven little ones.

I have a camera again!
So I am afraid I will be making up for lost time with pictures :D

I took all these black and whites for my wall.  I try to do it every year - it is starting to be a lot of frames!

Life is full!

Isabella's Appleseed

Isabella was so excited to go to her first Appleseed! She did so well and we were very blessed to have her big brother available to stay by her side and teach her the whole day. She followed all the safety rules and had a blast. Those were the important goals for her first Appleseed. She didn't shoot too bad either ;)

Bananas over mommy !!

That is what his shirt says. And it is true. He is just crazy for his mama.

The other day I put this shirt on Gabric for the first time. Kadin picked him up to give him some brother love and the next moment I heard a gasp from Kadin.
He looked at me with a serious expression,
"Mama I would NEVER pick bananas over my mama!

Our dinner

Tonight our personal pizzas became pizza men with armor and swords.
