Perspective

We are home! 
This morning as I tried to organize my thoughts about how to go about my day, I fought down rising morning sickness.  Yes, sickness has kicked in with a vengeance.  It started Saturday morning as I was finishing packing us up to leave Idaho.  We traveled all day Saturday and Sunday with me munching the whole way.  Back to this morning ~ I woke up with not much to munch and a tummy saying it needed food.  Morning sickness stinks! but then I got out our favorite book with pictures of a little one developing.  WOW, I am amazed every time by how fast a baby changes and develops.  I sat down with the kids and showed them how our baby already was getting fingers and toes.  Who cares about morning sickness!  I am still amazed by a new little life being formed by God.  I might have to remind myself of that a few times a day or a few dozen times a day.

I have so much catching up to do and so many pictures to download - hopefully they will be up soon but until then . . .
One of our last nights at the Loves we were sitting in our cabin having family prayer time and Isabella started praying, " God I would really like a girl baby but I want your will to be done" and then she looked over at my belly and gasped, " Look momma your belly is getting huge!".  Then she burst into a huge grin and leaned over and hugged the new baby :)

Just Some Funnies

Life has been too busy to blog the last few days . . .
We have been in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

Our family has unfortunately been under the weather while traveling as well.
There have been many moments that have brought a chuckle from me this week and I wanted to get them jotted down before I forget them ~ this memory of mine not being what it once was.

We spent Friday through Monday morning with the Bryants in Oregon and then headed to North Idaho to visit the Loves.  Our time with the Bryants was wonderful and very full.  One of their daughters was baptized, had a birthday and got her ears pierced while we were there.  It was a privilege to be there for some of her precious memory making.   When we went to get Brooklyn's ears pierced we passed a salon and Brooklyn asked, "Isn't that where we are supposed to go?"   " No," her little sister said confidently, "that is where they rip off your eyebrows."

 Another little Bryant girl and Isabella became bosom buddies and when Sierra couldn't find Isabella she ran up and asked her mama if she knew where Jezebel was.  No matter the reminders Isabella was Jezebel for the rest of the weekend to her.  It was adorable.

We headed out Monday and along the way Titus pointed to a field of cows and said "LOOK, at those hippos"  " Well, honey, those are cows."  "Oh yeah, Cowses"
I am still not sure if he was teasing or had a lapse in memory.  Every once in a while you could hear "hipp-o-pottamus"  coming from the backseat.

When we stopped for lunch on the road, we ran into Safeway (hoping to avoid fast food) and then ate in the parking lot.  Titus was still sitting in the cart and he accidentally dropped his sippy cup.  "It did not break! It is plastic?"  (see this earlier post about his infatuation with plastic)  Stephen told him "yes, it is plastic".   Titus looked deep in thought then looked up at his daddy and asked, "I am plastic?"
NO, you are not plastic, and don't get any ideas!

Well . . see . . I can't remember all the funny things I wanted to remember . . . .

I will have to ask my honey.  I am hoping to get pictures downloaded tonight.

Day 6-8

On Thursday my incredibly gracious husband sent me out on a date with my momma.  She and I went out for Eggs Benedict and went girl shopping.  It was such a precious time with my mommy.  I could never get enough of her ;)  I am so blessed.

Which made it that much harder on Friday to head out.  Tears were shed and hugs were given and we were off for the next leg of our adventure . . .

We headed for the Bryants and on the way there we stopped in a quaint little mountain town called Sisters.  We had pizza and ice cream and walked around town.  We attracted a crowd (which sometimes happens when you have 6 children).  This was the first time my husband was able to, with a big grin, glowingly inform everyone that number 7 was on the way :)

Now we have been enjoying sweet,sweet fellowship with our dear friends the Bryants.  I don't think I will be getting much sleep this weekend ;)

My head and heart have been so full since yesterday afternoon.  I bought a test not really thinking I was pregnant but just in case . . .
I went to take the test and it showed positive right away.  WOW!  I was not expecting that.  I feel so overwhelmingly thankful. 

Day 5 - Birthday Boy

This is our birthday boy! Bailey turned 7 today!

It is our family tradition that the birthday child gets to pick all meals on their birthday.  He wanted chocolate chip pancakes with strawberries for breakfast.

GOOD MORNING!

I have been so amazed by my mom's harvest.  Last night we had a dinner of veggies from the garden.
During Bible time today we were discussing noticing the blessings that God puts in your life - being thankful for what you have.  Stephen asked the kids to come up with one blessing that they noticed in our day. 
My blessing today is having awesome Godly parents.  We are so blessed to be able to come and stay with my parents.  Blessed to visit and have them take the time to pour into our lives.
